This bracelet from Planet Love Life honors of all of the hard working volunteers in Hawai’i working tirelessly every week and sometimes every day to collect and remove debris from their shores. Hawai’i has one of the worst problems with plastic pollution because of its proximity to the middle the Pacific trash gyre. And despite their problems, the people of Hawai’i remain optimistic and enthusiastic about keeping their shores debris free!
The rope used to make these bracelets was collected during beach cleanup project in Hawaii in 2018 by PLL co-founder, Melody Webster, while volunteering with the Kokua Hawaii Foundation at James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge.
